Shortly after painting the airboat, we took it out for a spin ..... this outing was to check one particular marsh for deceased birds (and p/u if found). All areas of the refuge are checked daily by road... but some locations are done by boat.
SOP is to take two vehicles... today it was a wise choice, since the 1st truck did get stuck in the mud and BV had to pull both truck & trailer out !
It was a sunny day, lots of birds, surrounded by snow covered mountains..... notice the long pants .... no shorts yet !!
