What an adventure !

Am having sooo much trouble with the blog, but am grateful we even have internet service...... have tried 3x to write about our experiences & it never saves, seems FB is easier but I like the blog better ! So... without further ado and lots of pictures I hope you get an idea of our new adventure .... those following FB, I apologize for the duplication ! We live in the middle of the forest - have satellite (no phone or internet), we work Fri-Sun riding ATVs in the forest, on call rest of the week for emergencies, get geared up with all our equipment, maps, hand tools, food, water, first aid, saws, shovels, radio, tow rope, even overnight emergency gear !

Photos show us inspecting the trails for condition and if passable. Many are flooded, mud pits, have washouts and fallen trees across trail. Our job is to make notes and clear what we can. Bob is our "sawyer" - he cuts, we "swamp" ! As we ride we take notes to report to HQ. Bv, Jan and Bob are a team, Wayne and I are a team and we also have a roving sawyer. Each team goes a different route. A few days ago we all rode 4 + hours clearing trail... BVs team cut up lots of trees until they got to impassable, snowy section. Wayne and I hand sawed trees as we could or pulled them out by ATV, we even built a log ramp to get across, then we were stopped by snow. It's a different experience than all our others. Evanston is 32 miles down the road, back in Wyoming and there is a Walmart for supplies !! It's a great group and social.... we've already had pancake breakfast, a potluck, hotdoges roasted over fire, dinner at our place and tomorrow will bring breakfast tacos for the tailgate meeting.

WE DO MISS YA'LL .... family & friends..... and wish we could share our cool weather with ya !! Hugs and love to everyone...... jac n bv
